Housing and dining staff:

We will be reopening Parklawn Hall for the 2025-2026 academic year due to anticipated increases in residence hall occupancy. Parklawn will be designated as housing for returning students only, utilizing the building as double and single occupancy rooms. We will operate the building with limited staff and desk hours based on the room type and upperclass student population who will be living there. Parklawn is in good physical shape, with the need for only minor upgrades to house students.

We have shared this possibility with current residence hall students intending to return to campus housing and received good interest in living there next year. This email is to confirm for our UHD staff that we are moving forward with opening the hall and messaging to students beginning in January about this option. We are excited about this opportunity to provide a residence for returning students only and believe it will be very successful. We will continue to share information as more details are finalized and students begin to select space in Parklawn.
