Just a friendly reminder regarding upcoming prerequisite drop dates and action that may need to be taken prior to the drop date, especially those with “Conditional – Proof Required” prerequisite permission.

Conditional-Proof Required
- Reminders to students with conditional permission were sent out on January 5th.
- Departments should review all submitted Proof of Completion forms and take the appropriate action before the end of the day on Tuesday, January 11.
- If approving satisfactory completion without the form, update the prerequisite permission to either "Permanent" or "Met-Proof Provided" via Offerings Planner or via the student's special permission panel.
If a student’s prerequisite permission remains as “Conditional – Proof Required” at the end of the day on Tuesday, January 11, they will be dropped from the course requiring the prerequisite very early in the morning of January 12.
Once the prerequisite drop process runs, students should not be given "Conditional – Proof Required" prerequisite permission as the process runs nightly. The student would then be dropped the following day with this type of permission.
In Progress UI Coursework
No Action Required
- Students with a fall 2021 “I” or “O” grade in a prerequisite course will be dropped from spring 2022 courses on January 12th.
- Students with “In Progress UI Coursework” prerequisite permission will be automatically reviewed after posting of winter 2021 grades on January 20.
- If prerequisite is satisfied, student remains enrolled and course prerequisite permission updated to “Met”.
- If prerequisite is not satisfactorily completed, student is dropped from the course, notified via email, and prerequisite permission updated to “Not Met”.
Action Required
- If the student will not satisfactorily meet the prerequisite and should not be dropped, update the student’s special permission to “Permanent” or “Met-Proof Provided”.
Prerequisite drop dates may vary for off-cycle courses (those not meeting the full semester).
