Seeding Excellence: Community Engaged Scholars (Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences [AHSS])

In collaboration with the Obermann Center, applications are sought for collaborative, one-year OVPR Community Engaged Scholars (AHSS) proposals with awards up to $5,000 to support publicly engaged, research-based project in the arts, humanities, and social sciences that mutually benefit university research and scholarship and the involved community. The goal is for university/community teams to find productive approaches to solving problems the faculty and partner both deem significant. In FY22, it is anticipated that there will be up to 10 OVPR Community Engaged Scholars (AHSS) awards funded through SEI.

NSF Virtual Grants Conference Recordings

The National Science Foundation (NSF) hosted the Spring 2022 NSF Virtual Grants Conference June 6-10, 2022. For those who were not able to attend the live conference, all recorded conference sessions are available on NSF's website and their YouTube page.

NSF Convergence Accelerator Expo 2022

Hosted by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator July 27-28, 2022, this exciting virtual exhibition event is your chance to check out novel solutions across six convergence research topics addressing national-scale societal challenges.

During the event you will have the opportunity to connect with NSF-funded Convergence Accelerator research teams including viewing live presentations and solution demos. You may also network with other researchers, innovators, and business and technical practitioners from academia, industry, government, nonprofit, and other communities of practice.

Networking Surveys

Networking surveys create a directory to help identify potential collaborators for your ideas and projects. There are currently eight topics represented: 1) human-technology interface, 2) artificial intelligence/machine learning, 3) e-cigarettes/vaping, 4) global health, 5) mental health, 6) opioids, 7) COVID-19, 8) microfabrication/nanofabrication, 9) aging health, and 10) climate change/sustainability.
