The RSVP for the Spring 2021 Virtual Commencement is Open

The RSVP portal for the spring 2021 virtual commencement is now open on MyUI. Students must RSVP Yes to be included in upcoming virtual ceremonies. The virtual commencement deadline is Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

More RSVP information can be found on commencement.uiowa.edu. 

All virtual ceremonies will be livestreamed at their scheduled time and day. Degree conferral and individual student recognition will take place during the virtual ceremonies.

Please Note:

Applying for a degree and participating in virtual commencement (RSVPing) are two separate processes; after the student has completed their degree application, they must still RSVP Yes to be individually recognized in the virtual ceremonies. 

If you know someone who is thinking about graduating but has not applied for a degree, we encourage them to do so now!

More virtual commencement information will be emailed to spring 2021 degree applicants from UI-commencement@uiowa.edu in the coming months.

The UI Commencement Team is aware of and is in contact with the committee planning an in-person graduation celebration. This event is separate from the virtual ceremonies, and more information about that event will be communicated to campus via IowaNow.
