Please note: If you are a student subscribed to the list and have already RSVP'd please disregard this message. If you have not RSVP'd you should have received a memo on April 10 indicating the deadline extension via your uiowa.edu email account.

Know someone that is planning on participating in a spring 2023 commencement ceremony? The RSVP deadline in MyUI has been extended until April 13 at 11:59 p.m.

The following message was sent on April 10 to students with a spring 2023 degree application on file and who do not have an RSVP response in MyUI: RSVP Deadline Extension for Spring 2023 Commencement.

The RSVP process is an opt-in system. Only students who RSVP as "I plan to participate" by the deadline and attend the ceremony will have their names read and displayed during the ceremony broadcast.

The RSVP portal is located in MyUI within the Degrees/Graduation tile. Students will receive a confirmation email to their uiowa.edu account once their RSVP has been finalized. Only students can RSVP and see their RSVP status.

• Receive updates: Encourage any other guests to sign up for the spring 2023 spring commencement subscription list to receive updates. Students will continue to receive updates via their uiowa.edu email account.
• Ceremony details: Visit the commencement ceremonies page and find the college ceremony of your student for important information about spring ceremonies.
• Apparel (cap and gown): Visit the commencement apparel page for information on how to purchase apparel. Apparel will not be available for purchase at the ceremonies.

Deadlines/Reminders

• Students can edit their RSVP attendance response in MyUI until the end of the day on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
• Students can add or edit a commencement slide photo until Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Slides are for personal use and are not used at the in-person ceremonies.
