Review Spring 2025 Students with "Not Met" Prerequisite Special Permission Status

This message is intended for undergraduate advisors and departmental administrators who manage prerequisite special permission and registration for their programs.

The prerequisite review of fall 2024 UI coursework for undergraduate students enrolled in spring 2025 courses began early Monday morning. The Office of the Registrar was quickly made aware that a small number of students were incorrectly dropped during this process. Students and their principal advisor were notified via email early Monday morning of their prerequisite status, including those whose status was incorrectly changed to "Not Met" resulting in a drop.

So far, less than 25 students have been identified as being incorrectly dropped. The impacted students are those who are using transfer coursework and UI coursework to satisfy prerequisites. We are working diligently to re-enroll these students, notifying the departmental administrator and principal advisor when enrollment is updated.

Please review your department's Prerequisite Special Permission Report for enrolled students whose status is "Not Met". If you encounter a student who you believe has been incorrectly dropped, please email Reg-MAUI-Support.

Please reach out if you have questions or concerns. Additional information about prerequisite management can be found on the MAUI Help Site.
