Spring 2026 Evening Midterm Exam Requests

This email is being sent to all academic department administrators and deans on campus.

The spring 2026 course offerings are currently available on MyUI. We are now accepting requests to schedule university classroom spaces for spring 2026 evening midterm exams.

Requests can be submitted at any time; however, requests will need to be submitted by Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, to ensure this information is present in time for spring 2026 early registration. The individuals submitting evening midterm exam requests will receive an email confirmation once their request has been processed.

Evening Midterm Exam Time Periods

The approved evening exam time periods are:

  • 1 1/2 hour exams: 6:30–8:00 p.m. or 8:45–10:15 p.m.
  • 2 hour exams: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
  • All other exams must begin at 6:30 p.m. and require approval

Submission Instructions

Exam requests are submitted online via the Exam Needs Tool in MAUI Offerings Planner, in a manner similar to the final exam needs submission process. Evening midterm exam submission instructions are located online.

Departments are encouraged to submit evening midterm exam requests as early as possible to increase the likelihood of securing preferred dates and times. Please note that only individuals with Offerings Planner access for your department are authorized to submit these requests. Instructors who do not have Offerings Planner access will not be able to submit evening midterm exam needs.

Departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences must adhere to college specific policies regarding evening midterm exams. Please visit the Examination Policies: Midterms and Finals page for more information.

Auditoria Seating Layouts

University classrooms with a seating capacity of 100 or more include seat and row number identifications. Seating layout plans for these rooms are available on the University Classrooms website individual classroom pages to assist faculty as they make their exam arrangements. Faculty can search for their classroom using the filters on the left and a downloadable seating chart can be found under the room name.
