Commencement Regalia is Available Now

Regalia Ordering Options

Regalia can be purchased through the Herff Jones online portal or in-store at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union.

Order Deadlines

  • Ship to Home: Order online by April 17 (shipping fees apply).
  • A limited selection of regalia is also available in the Iowa Hawk Shop.

For more details and to place an order, visit the apparel page on the commencement website.

All graduates must have their regalia before the commencement ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at the ceremony itself, so it’s important to order ahead.

Regalia Ordering Assistance

Graduation Support Program

The Dean of Students Graduation Support Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing financial hardship. This program helps cover the cost of graduation apparel and materials for those who may be unable to afford participation in commencement ceremonies.

For eligibility details and application information, visit the Dean of Students website.

Commencement Program Information

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates from each college, organized by degree type. Inclusion in the program is not tied to participation in the ceremony.

  • Names are listed based on when students earn or are expected to earn their degree. However, inclusion in the program does not confirm completion of degree requirements.
  • Summer and fall graduates will be listed in the fall program, even if they attend a spring ceremony.

  • Students who apply for their degree after the published deadline may not be included in the program.

Printed programs will be placed on graduates’ chairs before the ceremony. Guests will not receive physical copies.

A digital copy of the program will be available on the commencement website during the week of ceremonies.

Venues

The spring 2025 commencement ceremonies will take place at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and Hancher Auditorium.

Ceremony Livestream

All spring 2025 ceremonies will be livestreamed with captions. You can access the livestream through the individual ceremony pages, under the “Watch Live” section. We recommend bookmarking the page or the YouTube link for easy access.
