Commencement Program Information
The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates from each college, organized by degree type. Inclusion in the program is not tied to participation in the ceremony.
- Names will appear based on when students earn or are expected to earn their degree, but inclusion does not confirm completion of degree requirements.
- Summer and fall graduates will be listed in the fall program, even if they attend the spring ceremony.
- If students apply for degree after the deadline, their name may not appear in the program.
- If they have a directory restriction on their record, their name may be excluded from the program. Students can check their directory restrictions in MyUI, and instructions for reviewing data restrictions are available here.
Printed commencement programs will be placed on graduates' chairs before the ceremony. Guests will not receive physical copies.
A digital copy of the program will be available on the commencement website the week of ceremonies.

Degrees will be conferred, and graduates who RSVP’d "I plan to participate" will be individually recognized. If you’re unable to watch the livestream during the premiere, the ceremonies will be available for later viewing on the University of Iowa YouTube channel.
