Important Early Registration & Deadline Changes
|
Drops/Withdrawals
- Undergraduate programs: Individual courses may be dropped with advisor authorization through May 8. Additionally, complete withdrawals (dropping all classes) for the spring 2020 semester also may be done with advisor authorization through May 8. After that date, students will need to petition for a late drop or late withdrawal and the college dean’s authorization will be required.
- Graduate programs: Individual courses may be dropped with advisor authorization through May 8, and the requirement for dean’s permission is removed. April 14 is the deadline for complete withdrawals for the spring 2020 semester. After April 14, graduate students need the dean’s permission. More information about deadlines and other topics for graduate students can be found at https://www.grad.uiowa.edu/coronavirus/faqs
- Students should contact their advisor via email or by setting up a phone appointment via MyUI, if they need to discuss dropping a course or the need to withdraw.
Early Registration
- Early Registration for Fall is being moved by one week to allow more time for students to email or make a phone appointment with their advisor. Early Registration will now run from April 20 – May 1. Students will find their newly assigned registration date and time in MyUI. Students who require advisor approval to register, but who haven’t yet met with their advisor to be authorized for registration, should contact their advisor by email or set up a phone appointment via MyUI.
