Announcements 

Exam Deadline 

  • Spring 2023 midterm exam needs opened Oct. 3
  • The spring 2023 final exam needs tool will be open Dec. 12–Jan.11

General Catalog  

  • The historical 2022-23 General Catalog PDF will be available in mid-November on the catalog website. Those individuals who are in the catalog workflow will receive an email by the end of November to let them know the details about the opening of the catalog for updates. Updates must be completed by all reviewers in your workflow chain no later than Monday, Feb. 6, 2023. Please contact the catalog team at registrar-publications@uiowa.edu with questions.

Grades 

  • Fall 2022 midterm class lists are open Oct. 6–20
  • Fall 2022 final exam grade submission will be open Dec. 8–22

Offering Planner Deadlines and Updates 

  • Nov. 1–Jan.15, the fall 2023 Course Offerings Planner is closed to editing.
    • Classroom scheduling information (time/day, location, management type, delivery mode, credit hours) including fields related to scheduling requests (description, registration information) should be current and accurate for that session offering prior to submitting the section in workflow to avoid rejection. When Planner is closed, some section information for that session can still be edited; visit the MAUI Help Site for a list and description.
  • The Planner for fall 2023 will reopen for the review period from Jan. 16 to Jan. 29. Once the Planner reopens, you can submit any changes or new sections you did not submit for fall 2023 before the Planner closed. This proof period will allow departments time to submit their offering prior to courses being viewable on MyUI on Jan 30.
  • Offerings Planner module in MAUI will remain open for sections in Planning status and courses requesting a non-university classroom (UCR) during the Planner closed period for classroom assignments. Users will need to wait until the Planner reopens to submit any sections requesting a UCR to workflow. 

Textbook Deadlines 

  • Winter 2022/spring 2023 textbook deadline - should be finalized by Early Registration which begins Nov. 7
  • Winter 2022 textbook deadline - no later than four weeks prior to start of session is Nov. 28
  • Spring 2023 textbook deadline - no later than four weeks prior to start of session is Dec. 20

Registration Deadlines 

Early Registration revised for winter 2022/spring 2023

  • Student's winter 2022 and spring 2023 day and time assignments ran on Monday, Oct. 17. If you have any questions, please contact reg-maui-support@uiowa.edu.
  • Early Registration will take place Nov. 7–18 and Nov. 28–Dec. 2.

  • Prerequisites are enforced during registration. More information is available on our website.

Last day for undergraduates to drop full semester-length courses without collegiate approval for fall 2022 is Nov. 14.
