2026-27 Curriculum Cycle

Kristan Hellige - Office of the Registrar

  • General Catalog opens for editing on Monday, Oct. 27
  • Additional Catalog Editing Support
  • MAUI Course Library: If curriculum changes require a new course to be created or an existing course is revised, these changes must be requested with course approval forms prior to catalog updates. Contact reg-course-approval@uiowa.edu with any Course Library questions.
  • Degree Audits: The degree audit team continually reviews catalog pages after they have been fully proofed and applies curriculum edits as needed. Contact reg-degree-audit@uiowa.edu with any degree audit questions.
  • Sample Plans: If catalog edits affect the curriculum reflected on a sample plan and an Update Form has not been submitted, the sample plans team will reach out to the program of study's Sample Plan Administrator to prompt an Update Form. Contact reg-sample-plans@uiowa.edu with any sample plans questions.
  • Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in the curriculum management office hours. We will send a follow-up email with additional information soon!
  • As you are working through your parts of the annual curriculum cycle, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions at any time. We are happy to arrange a meeting with you if you are unable to make office hours.

Fall Final Grade and Prerequisite Run

Taylor Copp and Jessica Alberhasky - Office of the Registrar

  • Final grades for the fall 2025 are due by 5:00 PM on December 24th. End-of-session processing will run overnight. The ITS - AIS team will be monitoring the process to ensure everything goes smoothly. Prerequisite checks and academic standing reviews will be held until the week of December 29th, this will allow our office to review student records and verify outputs before notifying collegiate offices.
  • Submitting and approving grades can be tricky with the deadline close to the holiday break. Departments are welcome and encouraged to submit final grades as early as possible. Early submission helps ensure everything is processed smoothly and allows enough time for DEO approval.
  • Instructors should submit all grades for DEO approval no later than December 23rd. This gives departmental DEOs sufficient time to review and approve. We strongly recommend coordinating with your department to align with their internal timelines.
  • If there are questions about submitting final grades or want to confirm access ahead of time, feel free to reach out to reg-maui-support@uiowa.edu. We are happy to walk through the process or troubleshoot anything that comes up.

Alysha Ahlf reviewed upcoming deadlines for spring 2026 seat reservation submission and provided resources for departments to use. Please contact reg-maui-support@uiowa.edu if your department plans to submit spring 2026 seat reservations and has not yet done so.
