Final Grades Processing

This message is intended for MAUI users with the following roles, department executive officer (DEO), or academic department administrator (ADA). Please disregard this message if you have not been instructed by your primary instructor, course supervisor, or department to submit grades or approve grades.

As the summer session draws to a close, we would like to inform you that final grade lists for all twelve-week, eight-week, and six-week II sub-sessions and off-cycle courses ending on or before July 14 are available for editing and submission. Please review your grades workflow dashboard frequently.

Final grade lists will be processed on Wed., Aug. 7th shortly after 5 p.m. To help ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we kindly request that instructors submit grades for DEO review by Tues., Aug. 6th. Lists lacking DEO approval will result in "O" grades being entered on transcripts, indicating no grade reported.

Final Grades Processing Timeline

Did you know? Failure to meet this deadline impacts timely feedback for students and delays administrative processes, potentially affecting student graduation and other academic milestones. Below is a brief timeline for your reference:

Wednesday, July 24

  • Grade processing is paused. 
  • Final grade lists are open for editing (twelve-week, eight-week, and six-week II). 

Tuesday, Aug. 6

  • Deadline for instructors teaching full semester-length courses to submit grades for DEO review

Wednesday, Aug. 7

  • Deadline to review fall 2024 UI coursework special permission
  • 5 p.m. - DEO workflow review and approval deadline
  • Shortly after 5 p.m. - Final grades and end-of-session processing

Thursday, Aug. 8

  • MAUI updates official records, which include:

    • Grades
    • Grade-point averages (GPAs)
    • Academic standing notations
