Summer 2021 Project

Hello Honorables!

The semester may be wrapping up but we know you don’t stop learning just because school’s out! Regardless of your summer plans, every honors student has an opportunity to earn honors experiential learning credit through the Honors Summer 2021 Project. Honors has developed this introspective assignment to resource and reward you for staying intellectually engaged with your professional and academic goals outside of the classroom. Completion of the project may earn up to 3 credits towards the honors experiential learning requirement.

Similar to the honors reflection assignments, you will complete a pre-experience questionnaire and a post-experience questionnaire. More than a reflection, the Summer 2021 Project is an introspective research assignment making connections between the events or changes in the world around you and your professional/academic trajectory. The assignment is available to all honors students regardless of major or summer plans and will earn up to 3 honors credits in experiential learning. The pre-experience questionnaire must be completed by 06/01/21, and the post-experience questionnaire and project submission will be due by 09/01/21. Review the step-by-step instructions on our website at https://honors.uiowa.edu/experientiallearning under the Honors Summer 2021 Project drop-down. Then get started by completing the ‘HSP pre-experience questionnaire’.
