FilmScene will host a special screening for history majors on Sunday, December 1 at 3 p.m. Professors Sarah Bond and Rosemary Moore will provide a short commentary to help you view the film through your history student lenses.

GHS Book Sale

The Graduate Students of the History Department are having a Fall Book Sale!

We have lots of new books since the last sale! Lots of good deals on fiction, nonfiction and textbooks, of all topics including (but not limited to): women's history, Latin American history, economic/labor history, art history, science/environmental history, religious studies, political science, Asian history, English ... and the list goes on!

Experiential learning brings your classroom knowledge into the wider world. Your experience can give new meaning to what you're learning on campus, while developing skills and gaining practical experience to build your resume for any post-college plans. Graduate schools and employers alike value the products of experiential learning. 

The Hawkeye Experience Grant provides funding for a variety of experiences, including: internships, research & creative scholarship, service & community engagement projects, and internships abroad! Students may apply for up to $4,000 to help defray the cost of a Summer 2025 experience, with living costs being prioritized first before any required tuition or fees. 

Join the Pomerantz Career Center for a virtual information session on the Hawkeye Experience Grant. Mark your calendar for a January info session! We have $53,000 in scholarships available for summer 2025! Deadline for applications: First Friday in April (April 4, 2025).
