All Majors Career Fair

A history degree prepares you for a myriad of careers, but which one is right for you? Whether you're getting ready to graduate or just beginning your college journey, make plans to attend the All Majors Career Fair at the IMU on Thursday, September 26, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.!

The fair features over 160 employers looking for students from all majors. This is an amazing opportunity for students to connect with employers and explore open internships and full-time positions. Participants are often able to secure an interview with employers on-campus the very next day. We encourage all students to participate, no matter where they are in their academic and career journeys!

Undergraduate Engagement Corps (UEC)

If you are an undergraduate student who is interested in addressing critical societal problems, improving quality of life, and being an engaged citizen, the UEC is right for you! Applications are due October 7

The Undergraduate Engagement Corps (UEC) program provides full-time undergraduate students with training in critical areas of community engagement, including community-engaged research and building community partnerships. The full UEC program consists of:

  • A 1 s.h. seminarin the Spring semester focused on best practices and principles of community engagement.
  • Community engagement workshops and events held on campus and in the community.
  • Mentorship on the development of a community-engaged project based in your hometown.
  • An opportunity to apply for a grant designated for members of the UEC.

*The UEC 1 s.h. seminar is required is scheduled for Wednesdays 10:30-11:45 for 10 weeks during the Spring semester of 2025.

Combined, the UEC seminar, workshops, projects, and grants will provide principles and practices that will allow UEC members the opportunity to implement community engagement best practices and connect with community partners across the state and beyond.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 24, 6:30 - 8 p.m. and plan to attend The Hero You Don't Know: Hubert Humphrey and the Long Struggle for Civil Rights, co-sponsored by the Hawkeye History Corps.

Is the current multilateral and rules-based system being weakened by the return of geopolitics? Will economic interdependence and transnational ties prevent a complete lapse into anarchy?
