Tippie Senate Applications Open March 24th

Want to make a difference at Tippie? Here’s your chance! Tippie Senate—the undergraduate student government of the Tippie College of Business—is looking for passionate students to step up and lead. Submit your application to run for Tippie Senate starting on March 24, 2025!

All Tippie students and Pre-Business students on track for admission to Tippie in Fall 2025 are eligible to get on the ballot—we're seeking any students with a drive to make an impact!

As a Senator, you’ll:
✅ Advocate for student needs and shape policies
✅ Gain leadership and professional experience
✅ Build connections with faculty, staff, and peers
✅ Strengthen the Tippie community

To get on the ballot, applicants must receive support for candidacy, be verified for eligibility by the Tippie Senate Advisor, and attend an Open Senate meeting before voting opens. Candidates who are verified and successfully placed on ballot will be democratically voted to serve on Tippie Senate by undergraduate peers from Tippie's programs of student and Pre-Business constituency.

The voting period for an estimated 5-6 Senators will begin April 14 through April 18, 2025

Eligibility – To be eligible to run in the Tippie Senate General Election, a student must be enrolled in a Tippie College of Business program of study (Directs and Declared majors) or will be admitted (Pre-Business/Standards and Transfer) to the Tippie College of Business starting in the Fall 2025 semester and have at least two full-time semesters remaining before graduation. Eligible candidates must also meet the academic and good standing membership requirements outlined in the Tippie Senate Constitution; Article II: Section 3.
