This message is intended for all campus contacts that receive program of study (POS) memo updates via email from the Office of the Registrar.
As part of the University of Iowa's compliance with directives from the Iowa Board of Regents, the Division of Access, Opportunity, and Diversity (DAOD) was closed on March 27, 2025. As a result of this closure, the Office of Access and Support (OAS) will be administratively ended in MAUI effective summer 2025.
Two non-degree programs of study associated with the Office of Access and Support academic unit, the Iowa First Nations Summer Program and Life Science Summer Program, will be closed effective summer 2025. There are currently no students enrolled in these programs of study.
Any remaining courses formerly under OAS will transition to the College Success Initiatives (CSI) Program of Study within University College, as courses associated with OAS’s TRIO SSS program are already offered through the CSI Program of Study. The course subjects CDE, CIAE, and OAS will be inactivated in the MAUI course library, effective summer 2025.
Please update your records accordingly.
