The UI proposal routing form’s budget section is being updated to synchronize with the Federally negotiated F&A Rate Agreement rates in effect for the budget period. This update will simplify completing the budget section by populating the appropriate F&A Rate depending on the type of activity (research, corporate funded clinical trial, etc.) selected. If a previously approved negotiated F&A rate applies to an application, the user can enter the appropriate rate manually.
This update will be applied to any proposal routing form submitted on or after 8/29/2026. If you have questions, please contact dsp@uiowa.edu.
