Note these CAMBUS service changes for spring 2022 semester
CAMBUS service for the spring 2022 semester began on Tuesday, Jan. 18. To best allocate available staffing resources to current demands, these routes have service changes: 31, 32, 35, 52, 53, and 54. Updated schedules and service details can be found online or download the Transit App for real-time arrivals and departures.
Custodial Training Update
During the break period the Custodial leadership staff took a three-day train-the-trainer class. An instructor from the Custodial Management Institute came on-site and led the course in the Catlett MPR. The in-depth course delved into the science behind cleaning, best practices, best types of equipment, etc.
The curriculum is based on two large textbooks that contain a wealth of information. The material presented in class and in the textbooks will include a series of nine tests that all those that attended will take. Upon successful completion of the rigorous test, the staff will be certified as trainers by the Custodial Management Institute.
The Custodial leadership in Housing & Dining will be the only staff on campus to obtain this certification and are among a small number of others within the State of Iowa who hold this credential.

Inclement Weather Protocols for UH&D Staff
In the event of inclement weather (primarily snowstorms), university policy requires essential personnel to report to work to ensure services are being provided. University Housing and Dining staff are considered essential to the operation of the university. As such, the department will provide overnight accommodations for full time staff unable to get home, where travel home may be dangerous, or where travel to work the next day may be hazardous. In the event of inclement weather, you will need to contact your supervisor in order to receive accommodations.
