We are excited to offer you the chance to participate in a pilot program with the financial app YNAB (You Need a Budget) that provides resources and tools for financial wellness. The pilot program is offered in partnership with UI Well-Being Services.
YNAB is an award-winning money management method and app that helps you gain control of your finances. YNAB ’s approach to money management has helped people feel less stress, reduce conflicts around money, and feel confident about future planning.
You are invited, as part of the Division of Student Life staff, to participate in this 6-month pilot program. To participate in the YNAB pilot you need to:
Prior to pilot launch
- Complete the Personal Health Assessment by Friday, July 12
- Complete YNAB’s anonymous Financial Wellness Survey
- Attend (or watch the recording) of the YNAB Launch Event on Monday, July 15
During pilot period
- Commit to logging in and using the YNAB app at least once per month
- Attend a minimum of one additional one-hour workshop during the 6-month period
- Meet with a liveWELL Health Coach during the 6-month period if assigned to a health coach*
*Each participant will be randomly assigned to one of two coaching groups. These groups focus on supporting behavior change and are led by a liveWELL health coach.
Following pilot program
- Provide feedback via survey at the end of the pilot period
Information about your finances is confidential between you and YNAB. No personal information is shared with UI Well-Being Services or Student Life.
