Question of the week

Question of the week: On June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger issued a military order formally informing Texas residents that slavery ended. What was the name of this order?

The prize this week is a UH&D fleece blanket. Answer correctly to be eligible for the drawing. Answers must be received by 8 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

The previous question of the week was, June is Pride month. What does the Q in LGBTQIA+ stand for?” The answer is, Queer and Questioning. LGBTQIA+ is an inclusive term that includes people of all genders and sexualities, such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, intersex, asexual, pansexual, and allies. While each letter in LGBTQIA+ stands for a specific group of people, the term encompasses the entire spectrum of gender fluidity and sexual identities.

Congratulations to winner, Vicki Miller. Honorable mention goes to Carrie Roller.
