Tip of the week: Return to live on campus | Did you know that each year of living on campus enhances your success? You'll meet new friends, gain leadership experience, and have academic support. Our returning resident application is now open. Learn more and apply at housing.uiowa.edu/return.
Here are your top 4 things to know this week: | | Meals during fall break | Students staying in the Iowa City area over fall break may have limited options for meals, and campus is providing two opportunities for students to eat together with other students, join in community with each other, and pick up grab and go options for meals later in the week. All domestic and international students are welcome, as well as community members and students with families. RSVP is required in advance. In addition, Union Station at the IMU will be available for meals Nov. 22—24. | | Take the Skyfactor survey | When you return from Fall Break, you will find an invitation in your UI email to participate in our University Housing and Dining (UH&D) Resident Satisfaction Survey. This is your chance to tell us what you think! Take the survey by December 13 and you will be entered for a chance to win $25 Hawk Shop gift cards and $25 in Hawk Dollars (there are many to give away). A group prize will be given to the residence hall floor with the highest percentage of returned surveys. Watch your email beginning November 28. | | Get ahead with winter session | The end of the semester will soon arrive. Take advantage of your winter break with accelerated courses at Iowa. As an undergrad, you can earn up to three credit hours to help you catch up on a class you missed, get a head start on the spring semester, or stay on track for graduation.
| | Reminder: Extreme Weather Protocol on Campus | As long as students and their instructors are able to travel to and from campus safely, regularly scheduled classes will continue to meet. If classes are canceled, the university will issue a Hawk Alert to notify campus. Text message is the fastest way to receive an alert.
