| Tip of the week: get in your study groove | With the cold weather this week, there is no time like the present to explore indoor spaces. Be sure to check out all the great study spaces and fitness locations right in your residence hall.
Here are your top things to know this week: | | | Stay warm on your nighttime commute | Student government is continuing to partner with Campus Safety, the Division of Student Life, and the Parent and Family Council to provide late night Uber ride Vouchers for students during the spring 2025 semester.
As part of this program, eligible students can now claim FIVE $5 Uber ride vouchers, which are valid from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. daily, while supplies last. Unused vouchers expire on May 18 at 11:59 p.m., so students are encouraged to claim these vouchers and use them in a timely manner. To learn more about this program, see: safety.uiowa.edu/hawk-vouchers. | | | Take the 2025 National College Health Assessment Survey | We need your feedback! The National College Health Assessment (NCHA) survey is conducted every two years to learn and improve student health and well-being initiatives on our campus. It's easy to do, just follow these steps:
- Check your email—the link provided is unique to you, so make sure you use that one and don't forward it to someone else.
- Take the survey
- That's it! You are automatically enrolled in a drawing to win a $20 Amazon e-gift card.
| | | UHD scholarships are open | Each year, University Housing and Dining (UHD) offers scholarships and awards to support students paying for college. These scholarships are accessible to:
- Students currently living in the residence halls
- Students planning to return to live in the residence halls
- Students currently working within any unit in dining
Each scholarship has its own unique criteria, so be sure to review the details and apply for the ones that best fit your situation. Look over the different awards on our website: housing.uiowa.edu/scholarships. | | | Returning to campus housing? | Did you miss the Feb. 1 application deadline for returning to campus housing? That's ok! If you submit your application by Feb. 28, you will receive a housing assignment after the other returning students complete online room selection this week.
Beginning March 1, returning students that apply for housing will be placed on our housing waitlist. Students can expect an update to their housing status no later than July 11, 2025. | | | Important dates, deadlines, and events | | | |                   | | | |
