Tip of the Week: Send us your feedback by using Text and Tell

Do you like what you had in the market places? Are there new food items you would like to see? Tell us about it! Our market places host digital displays which contain the contact information for sending us feedback. Simply, use your mobile device to text our team feedback to the number listed on the screen about your market place experience(s). After you submit your feedback, someone from our team will follow up with you.

Sign your roommate agreement

Have a new roommate this semester? Get your semester started off on the right foot by signing your roommate agreement by February 14. This will help you to start building a successful roommate relationship. Learn more at housing.uiowa.edu/roommates.

Meal plan reminders

Did you know that all students living on campus have a meal plan? At the University of Iowa, meal plans offer both market place meals and flex swipes. You will utilize these meals by presenting your Iowa One card to a cashier who will swipe it at the register. This swiping action deducts one meal from your balance and is called a meal swipe. The two types of swipes offered in our meal plans are market place meals and flex swipes. 

• Market place meals will draw from the number of market place swipes provided in your Gold or Black meal plan. Once you run out of market place swipes, flex swipes will be used automatically.
• Flex swipes, can be used in the all-you-care-to-eat market places and at retail locations that accept flex swipes. Every meal plan contains 75 flex swipes for use in market place and eight retail locations. In retail locations, a swipe can be used to purchase a meal comprised of one entrée, two sides, and a drink.

Student modeling opportunity

Do you like posing for photos and representing your school? Throughout this semester, University Housing and Dining will be conducting photoshoots to showcase life in the residence halls and are looking for students interested in modeling. Any student can participate! Students that participate get $10.00 Hawk Dollars added to their account for each shoot they model for and Hawkeye swag. Want to sign up? Contact megan-yoder@uiowa.edu.
