Here are your top 4 things to know this week: | | | Room changes update | The room change wait list opened on September 1 at 8:00 a.m. We have had many students apply and want to share a few updates below:
- September 7-10: Students with a vacancy in their current space will receive correspondence about their options.
- September 13: The first room change offers will be sent out. (Please keep in mind that we have very limited space to accommodate room changes. Room change offers will be sent as space comes available throughout the semester until December 10).
If you are struggling with a roommate issue, please reach out to your RA for support in navigating those relationships. | | | Work orders and front desks | Did you know that you can easily place a work order online? Our system allows you to easily place a work order. For issues with your door locks, you'll want to visit the front desk.
Your residence hall front desk is an important resource for packages, helping you navigate your hall, connecting you with your hall coordinator or any other issues. Front desks are open various hours across all residence halls.
| | | Text and Tell | Market place and cafe menus are developed with you in mind and your input is essential to that process. Text and Tell allows you to send our team feedback in a quick and efficient way via your mobile device. Our market places host digital displays which contain the contact information for sending us feedback. Simply, use your mobile device to text our team feedback to the number listed on the screen about your market place experience(s). After you submit your feedback, someone from our team will follow up with you. | | | Be a student model | Do you like representing Iowa? University Housing and Dining (in partnership with the Office of Strategic Communications) is looking for students to model for upcoming photoshoots in the residence halls. Any students can be a model! Photos are used for marketing and promotional materials for the UI. Sign up for upcoming shoots by requesting to join the Facebook group called, University of Iowa Photoshoot Models. We have over 10+ shoots for students to participate in!
