Dear Colleague,
We are reaching out to let you know of some important changes regarding emails sent by Sitenow websites, most often as it relates to emails sent by Sitenow web forms.
Our hosting provider, Acquia, is ending support for the legacy email system used by SiteNow websites. As a result, we are updating SiteNow websites to use Acquia's new system. SiteNow v2/v3 websites have already been updated, and these updates will be deployed to SiteNow v1 websites prior to February 1st, 2022.
Regardless of what you have set up for your Webform email handlers, set as your site email address, etc., going forward all mail sent by your website has to come "from" a @uiowa.edu email address. In order to preserve email sending functionality, outgoing emails sent from the website that do not have @uiowa.edu based email address will be altered to come from "sitenow-noreply@uiowa.edu".
Because replies to sitenow-noreply@uiowa.edu will bounce and not be delivered, it is important that you check your web forms and set up a "from" @uiowa.edu email address that can receive replies from email recipients or automatic email response functionality. We also recommend setting a "reply-to" address in your web forms.
To help support you in this transition, we will demonstrate how to check and update these Webform email address settings in upcoming sprint demos and web community meetings. In addition, you are always welcome to contact us directly with questions (https://sitenow.uiowa.edu/contact-us).
Regards,
OSC Web Services
