Early course registration for the winter 2022 and spring 2023 sessions has been extended from 10 to 15 business days. This change - recommended by the Academic Policies and Practices Task Force and approved by the Office of the Provost - will provide students with more time to schedule advising appointments. The change also gives advisors and collegiate partners more time to work together and make course adjustments to meet the needs of students.
The first two weeks of early registration will still take place Nov. 7–18. The additional week of registration will run Nov. 28–Dec. 2. Students will have their Early Registration day and time assignment posted in MyUI on Oct. 17. Registration times will be assigned in ten-minute time slots from 7:30 a.m. to 10:20 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Students’ day/time assignments are based on their overall earned hours. Overall earned hours include transfer credit and exam credit but does not include courses in progress that have not been graded. Some students may have a registration date and time assigned based on factors other than overall hours earned.
