Welcome to the spring 2024 semester at the University of Iowa. Our records indicate you are a faculty or staff member with a MAUI role for the spring semester that begins on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024. Please keep in mind the following items as you prepare for this semester.
New for Spring 2024
- Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, students will be able to complete section, hours, and grade options changes in MyUI for semester-length courses and for off-cycle courses that start on Jan. 23 or later. If students are enrolled in an off-cycle course that begins before Jan. 23, registration change requests should be managed using the email change of registration process.
- Starting Feb. 1, 2024, all University of Iowa faculty and staff who may interact or work with students and/or student records will be required to complete FERPA training every three years. The compliance (which takes approximately 20 minutes to complete) will help employees stay current with best practices and support our ongoing commitment to protecting our students' privacy. Important Reminders
- Remember to check electronic class lists on MAUI and ICON. Class lists are dynamic and may change throughout the semester depending on selected options that students can choose through MyUI.
- Visit the Office of the Registrar changes in registration page to assist students with drops, adds, sections, or hours changes.
- Refer to the course deadlines for course-specific deadlines.
- Visit the Academic Calendar for a full listing of important dates by semester.
- Consider using the Calendar Combiner to sync the Academic Calendar with your Outlook.
- Based on your role, you may be responsible for submitting or approving attendance, midterm, and final grades. Watch for reminder email messages over the course of the semester.
- The Office of the Registrar publishes all student correspondence and faculty and staff correspondence on our website.
- Help documentation relating to MAUI may be found on the MAUI Help website.
