I am matching gifts on One Day for Iowa

Hi, Katie,

I am so excited to welcome you to campus next month as we convene for our first Dean’s Advisory Council meeting. Thank you for investing your time and talent in the college.

Tomorrow is One Day for Iowa, the University of Iowa’s 24-hour online giving day. To celebrate and emphasize the importance of private support, members of the college’s senior leadership team and I are matching donations made to support students through the college’s Excellence and Innovation fund.

As you know, CLAS educates and graduates more than 60 percent of undergraduates at Iowa. We are the academic heart of this university, and this fund supports unique programming that helps prepare our students for their professional ambitions.

From now through 11:59 p.m., gifts will be matched up to $2,400—$10 becomes $20; $50 becomes $100.

Please join me in making a gift to support the college.

I also invite you to explore the nearly 40 CLAS departments and programs that are participating during the giving day and support those that matter most to you. You will likely hear from your home department over email or social media during the next 24 hours.

Thank you for being a dear friend and advocate for CLAS. I look forward to seeing you in a few short weeks.

With gratitude,

Sara Sanders
